Panaca, Nevada— Where I actually saw someone transporting a pony in the back seat of a Chevy Nova and stepped on a huge King Snake while mowing the lawn.

Cedar City, Utah—SUU University offered so many wonderful experiences for the youth there. The Sunday Summer Concerts were the best and an inspiration for our children. This is where Michael went back to school so he could become a teacher, where we experienced our first Pow Wow, where we enjoyed the nearby mountains, and were closer to our relatives, and made many friends.

Alamo, Nevada—what can I say… my grandparents are buried there, it is close to Area 51, and the kids were in the musical production of Alice in Wonderland.

Garden City, Utah—30 below, Bear Lake Utah/Idaho. A difficult year in our history but rich in blessings, too. So very beautiful there and the best raspberries I’ve had.

Vernal, Utah— Cowboys and Dinosaurs, what a combo. Noel and Danielle went to high school here and we made many friends.

McGrath, Alaska — a village in the bush, in the interior of Alaska, on the Iditarod Trail, accessible only by air or boat or snowmobile or sled in winter.

Page, Arizona — On Lake Powell in Northern Arizona where we lived in the same town as my sister and her family.

Blanding, Utah — In Southeast Utah, Four Corners area. Blue Mountains or Abajo Mountain North of Blanding. Nessa Joy graduated from high school there and made many friends.
