Last day of 2009

dec 09 061

Yesterday was clear and cold and we took the 10 minute drive to the coast in Kenai. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of the views of Mt. Redoubt across the inlet. The lookout was so icy I could hardly stand (even in my yak trax) to take this photo. And there was a family sledding down to the beach below on sheer ice! I just couldn’t watch.

This has been a bittersweet year and I’m ready to move on with optimism for 2010.

I wish you all a Happy New Year.

  1. The Wards & Grandpa says:

Happy New Year, we love you

  2. Michael the Dad says:

I was there, and the ice wasn’t half as bad as Glenna’s fear of it. If I only had a penny for every time Glenna was sure we were going to have an accident. I would have retired long ago. Keep you seat belts on and your stick on the ice, now there is a mixed message for you.
