Homer

Published by glenna under Uncategorized

Last week I had the best day with Mary Ann. We traveled to Homer for an Art Festival and to see the wonderful production of the Nutcracker. We had a great dinner and great visit. My face hurt from smiling so much that day. Thanks again.

Moose in the driveway this morning!

Published by glenna under Uncategorized

Against better judgment we fed them broccoli and celery. The flash went off on my camera in my haste to capture their photo before getting trampled hence the creepy glowing eyes.

Sunrise, your daily dose of magic

Published by glenna under Uncategorized

I opened the door at sunrise this morning about 9 a.m. and this is what greeted me.  Everyone talks about the darkness in Alaska, but for me I don’t notice it as much.  Last night the full moon reflecting on the snow and then back up against the clouds (as it often does) created a Netherworld aglow.  Peaceful and ethereal like I can’t describe.

Funny River Area, Kenai River, Alaska

Published by glenna under Uncategorized

On Saturday Michele took me up to a beautiful cabin (fabulously elaborate home!) that Brian is doing extensive electrical work on. It is a LOVELY place in a breathtaking area being built by a talented young man named Casey.

It was late afternoon and quite chilly but I spent some time on one of the many decks communing with God and his creations in total awe. Sights and sounds of eagles swooping into the glacial blue river and evergreen trees as far as the eye could see emitting sweet oxygen. My camera just can’t seem to capture the splendor of it all but here are a few snapshots.
P.S. You should be albe to click on the photos in my blogs to enlarge them.

A view from the loft deck into the endless trees and snow covered mountains in the far distance.

Another deck, another view.

I’ll call this the Deck of Introspection.
